Governors

Jan McLucas (Chair)

Jan is Chief Executive and Company Director of a not for profit organisation based in Reading. She has worked in a variety of education roles throughout her career including 17 years as a secondary school teacher. She is a Community Governor appointed by the Academy Trust members, and her term of office is from 22.3.2018 – 22.3.2022. Jan is Chair of Education Committee and also sits on the Finance, Resources and Sites committee and Appraisal, Performance Management and Pay Panel.

Marsha Carey-Elms OBE 

Marsha was Executive Head of the Kendrick Federation, comprising Kendrick Grammar School and Reading Girls School and one of the first National Leaders in Education and also Chair of Maidenhead Arts Society. She was a magistrate (1982-2017) and was appointed OBE for services to education in 2012. Marsha sits on the Education Committee. She is a Community Governor appointed by the Academy Trust members, and her term of office is from 01.12.2016 – 01.12.2020.

Beverley Corcoran 

Beverley is currently an IT learning and development manager and HR Business Partner for a major airline and owns a Maidenhead career management consultancy. As a qualified management accountant Beverley sits on the Finance, Resources and Sites committee. She is also mother to two secondary school age children. She is a Community governor, appointed by the Academy Trust members, and her term of office is from 05.05.2015 – 05.05.2019. Beverley is the lead Governor for Safeguarding.

John Harrison 

John is a Principal Lecturer at Regents University London and a Member of All Saints Church. John sits on the Education Committee and is a Foundation Governor appointed by the Diocese and his term of office is from 21.5.2018 – 21.5.2022.

David Howes (Chair, Finance, Resources & Sites Committee)

David is a Consultant in a civil and structural engineering company and former local councillor in Maidenhead. He is a Foundation Governor appointed by the Diocese and sits on the Finance, Resources and Sites committee. His term of office is from 23.09.2016-23.09.2020.

Charlotte Mace

Charlotte is a Chartered Civil Engineer, currently leading business development for an organisation promoting collaborative working, and is a Member of All Saints Church. She is a Community Governor and sits on the Education Committee and was appointed by the Academy Trust members. Her term of office is 22.3.2018 – 22.3.2022.

Neil Dimbleby (Headteacher) 

Joined Altwood as Headteacher in September 2013. The Headteacher sits on the Governing Board in an Ex-Officio position.

Paul Roszkowski

Paul is a Project Manager and Programme Manager for Network Rail working on capital infrastructure projects and a Member of All Saints Church. He is a Co-opted Governor and sits on the Finance, Resources & Sites Committee and was appointed by the Academy Trust members.  His term of office is 22.3.2018 – 22.3.2022.

Sally Hind (Vice-Chair)

Sally has two children at Altwood.  Sally sits on the Education Committee and is a Parent Governor.  Her term of office is from 30.03.17 – 30.03.21

Julie Smith

Julie works as a Finance Administrator in a local charity and has one child at the school.  Julie sits on the Finance, Resources and Sites Committee and is a Parent Governor.  Her term of office is from 30.03.17 – 30.03.21. Julie is the appointed Governor for SEND.
